Hello!  You are cordially invited to 2 neighborhood events on Saturday, April 14, 2007 at 9 am aimed at litter removal on the streets and streams of Brentwood.  Brentwood Big Sweep will meet at Pine Knoll Drive (deadend) near Greywood (see map) to start cleanup in the Brentwood Today neighborhood.  Questions?  Contact Zone Captain Don Munk at (919) 673-5872. 

 

Also, Brentwood Exchange Club will meet at 9am at Brentwood Elementary School’s parking lot to clean the banks and waters of Marsh Creek for Raleigh’s Adopt-A-Stream program.  Questions?  Contact Ron Franzel at (919) 790-0023. 

For either event, please bring gloves and wear old work clothes.  If you plan to go in the water, bring waders or hip boots if you have them!

Please pick up litter & dispose of it properly!

 

Motor Oil

Recycle used motor oil & repair auto leaks!

 

Paint & Chemicals

Take household hazardous wastes to collection and/or recycling centers!  Give leftover paint to charity!

 

Fertilizer

Test your soil 1st, then use sparingly!  Use compost!

 

Leaves & Grass Clippings

Use a mulching mower or rake/sweep up yard waste  & make rich compost with nutrients & microorganisms!

 

Pet Waste

Please pick up after your pet!  Wrap & place in trash.
