Responses:

- On Capital, Buffalo Brothers and Solomon's (both near Brentwood). The Twisted Fork is great at Triangle Town Mall. Winston's and Lucky 32 are fine in the Spring Forest-Falls of Neuse Area. Forty Second Street Oyster Bar is my favorite in Raleigh, even over Angus Barn, which is great, don't get me wrong. It is just farther away and lots more expensive and I am not a big beef eater, more into seafood. That is only a sampling, Raleigh is full of great places to eat, you don't have to go out of town to get a good meal. The Lunch Box on Trawick Road is a first class lunch served by some very nice people.

- Our most-recent favorite restaurant is Yang Feng Lou's (a Chinese buffet). It's where O'Charley's used to be on Capital Blvd.

-Our favorite close restaurant is Sewasadee (Thai). It is across from Chuck E. Cheese on our side of Capital near the Oriental market and African braid place. Other favorites are downtown - The Rockford, Poole's Diner, Oakwood Cafe, and The Point (Five Points).

- We like Buffaloe Brothers too, and of course the Olive Garden up on Capital left side past Millbrook Rd., and Sweet Tomatoes is a great buffet place with tons of salads and with pastas, soups and desserts (right side up on Capital past Spring Forest Rd). Also Crystal Palace Chinese Buffet corner of New Hope Church and Capital.

- Andy's Pizza at Quail Corners. The Lunch Box is also great.

- There are great restaurants all over the Triangle, but if you're talking near the neighborhood, then I am a huge fan of Pho Cali. It's in the Starmount shopping center (same as Harbor Freight Tools). Very authentic Vietnamese food. My favorite is the chicken on vermicelli...absolutely amazing.

- If you're talking about local to the neighborhood restaurants, you can get authentic Chinese (or could; it's been a while) at the place right next
to El Dorado in Stoneybrook Shopping Center. Also, Royal India and the Thai restaurant near Chuck E. Cheese (Sawasdee) are very good. But my two favorites in Raleigh are Bella Monica on Edwards Mill (get the portabella and sun dried tomato lasagna) and Hayes Barton Grill.

- Also Casa Linga at Mini City (shopping center) on Capital is very good. I've heard very good things about Taverna Agora, a Greek restaurant on Glenwood Ave. Irregardless Cafe is still my favorite restautant in Raleigh.

- One of our favorites in the community is the Fortune Palace, right here in the neighborhood, at Stoney Brook Shopping Center. Great for take out and excellent quiet formal Chinese for eating in. We have tried all the Chinese standards, and they were all great including the egg rolls! It's at 2815 Brentwood Rd.

- I like Fraziers on Hillsborough Street across from NCSU. Also, Porters next door is good also (same ownership).

- Roma's at the corner of Brentwood and New Hope Church Rd. is really good. Very reasonable and good service. Family owned and oriented.

- El Dorado in Stoneybrook. We go there weekly!

- Pei Wei, on 4524 Old Wake Forest Road, next door to Carolina Ale. Same food as P.F. Chang's, but lower price, lower noise level, and when we go there, no wait! Pronounced, "pay-way." We had a nice talk with "J.T." who will be sure all is well with your dinner. (Tell him you saw it on the Brentwood web site.) Nice decor, too.

- Two more: Toreros on Atlantic Avenue and Carrabas on Capital Boulevard.
